Viral Ad Campaign of the Day: To promote MC Hammer’s upcoming reality show, Hammertime, A&E sent a bunch of Hammer-Pants wearing dancers to flashmob a clothing store.

Hammer-larity ensues.

Haha love it. I do wonder if things like this actually work though. I guess they end up not really having an effect on those at witness it in person (how would they know what is being advertised?) but the real value of this campaign is when it goes viral online (while paired with the link to A&E’s site).

This immediately brought up thoughts of attempting to do the hammer-slide after reading that XKCD way back when.
